Meet the Makers: Chefs & Producers
Central to Taste Great Southern’s magic are the people behind the dishes, perceptive chefs and devoted producers who draw on the region’s wild bounty to craft meaningful meals. The 2026 program includes names such as Jo Barrett, Evan Hayter, Paul “Yoda” Iskov and Corey Rozario, among others.
These chefs, and many local winemakers, fishermen, farmers and artisans, draw inspiration from the land and sea; think ancient granite domes, cold southern waters, spring wildflowers, fertile soils, vineyard grapes and ocean harvests. Their menus reflect seasons, terroir and tradition, producing food that tastes like the place itself. They frame the landscape as part of the dining table from coastline to forests, vineyards and farms.
Taste Great Southern is more than a festival. It’s a celebration of landscape, people, seasons and stories. It invites you to taste the coast, the forest, the vineyards and farms; to wander with the wild, one dish at a time.
